Strabag companies won Croatian tender

STRABAG AG, STRABAG d.o.o. and STRABAG Rail will build second track on the section Hrvatski Leskovac – Karlovac.

The bid of these three companies was for almost 230 million euros. The estimated value of all works, which are co-financed by the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, amounted to 270 million euros.

The project includes the reconstruction of the existing railway and the construction of a second track along the existing 44 km long, the reconstruction of stations and stops, and the construction of underpasses and overpasses with associated roads instead of railway crossings.

As part of the electricity infrastructure subsystem, works will be carried out on the construction and renovation of the contact network system, and within the traffic management and signal-safety subsystem, the modernization of signal-safety and telecommunication devices. Upon completion of the project, passenger trains will run on the section at speeds of up to 160 km / h.
