Christoph Grasl becomes new Board Member for Market and Sales at Rail Cargo Group.

The Supervisory Board of Rail Cargo Austria AG has decided to appoint a new member of the Board of Management responsible for "Market and Sales". Logistics expert Christoph Grasl will take over this function on 3 April 2023, succeeding Gottfried Eymer, who left the company at his own request at the end of December 2022.

Christoph Grasl has many years of management experience in international logistics distribution as Chief Commercial Officer at companies such as Cargo Partner and, most recently, the WOF Group. With his extensive experience in corporate management and sales competence, the 47-year-old was able to assert himself against strong competition. The native of Burgenland will further develop and strengthen Rail Cargo's role as an international and increasingly multimodal rail logistics provider in Europe and as far as Asia. He will take over the management of all sales agendas in the Rail Cargo Group.

"Christoph Grasl knows the logistics industry and the rail-related sectors in the Rail Cargo Group's markets very well. With his strong network and international experience, he will be an excellent addition to the Rail Cargo management team as a sales specialist," emphasises ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä.
