Berlin-based SaaS startup Menlo79 has raised €2.1 million in its first investment round. The investment round included contributions from Scalehouse Capital, D2 Fund, Ventis Capital, and Frankenbergs Ventures.
Menlo79, established in 2019, specializes in developing cloud-based solutions for managing operational staff across multiple organizations. The WILSON platform, introduced in 2022, currently serves over 65 customers and more than 2,300 users daily. Clients include transport operators such as Flixtrain, ČD Cargo, and Havelländische Eisenbahn, staff service providers like Trainbutlers and LokLöwen, as well as rail construction companies including Furrer+Frey.
The company plans to allocate the new capital toward advancing the platform's functionality, with an emphasis on expanding its cross-company staffing feature and enhancing qualification management. A portion of the funds will also support marketing and sales initiatives to promote growth.
In addition to the €2.1 million raised, Menlo79 has secured €1.8 million in grants, which will extend through the end of 2026. These funds will further support the platform's development and enable pilot testing of new features with selected customers.
With a team of 35, Menlo79 aims to address workforce management challenges in rail and logistics, particularly for businesses where traditional scheduling tools and spreadsheets are insufficient. WILSON is designed to improve operational efficiency and employee satisfaction in these complex sectors.
