The RAIL BUSINESS DAYS 2024 trade fair again grew year-on-year, this year's record number of visitors was 11,344.

The International Railway Fair and Conference RAIL BUSINESS DAYS took place for the second time this year in Ostrava's Trojhala Karolina from 11 to 13 June. Over the three days, 11,344 railway professionals, enthusiasts and students visited the event, beating the previous record set in Brno in 2022 with a TGV train on display.

130 exhibitors from the Czech Republic and abroad presented themselves to the visitors, which is another record for the fair. For the first time the exhibition was extended to a second hall.

Among the exhibitors were a number of companies participating in the Ostrava trade fair for the first time, as well as traditional exhibitors such as the Správa železnic (Railway Administration), ČD, AŽD, ČD Cargo or manufacturers of rolling stock such as the Škoda Group, Stadler, Pesa and Alstom.

This year there were 14 rolling stock on the track. The biggest attraction was the modern electric RegioPanter, equipped with batteries, and a historical unique from 1936, the Slovak Strela. But the other vehicles did not escape the attention of the visitors either, so the EMU FLIRT, UNIMAT DYNAMIC undercutter, 383 Vectron, Traxx3, EffiShunter 1000 or DualShunter locomotives were on display. There were also vehicles for track inspection and surveying, and this year it was possible to see the FST4 surveying vehicle or the new MTW 100 vehicle for overhead line inspection and repair.

Also this year, the traditional accompanying conference was held on the first day of the fair. The main topic was undoubtedly the operation of alternative fuel vehicles in the Czech Republic. Other topics included energy in connection with railways and the preparation of high-speed lines.
