DB Cargo UK has launched operations for FCC Environment’s newly completed waste transfer facility at Forders Sidings in Stewartby, Bedfordshire. This new arrangement will see DB Cargo managing the transport of approximately 288,000 tonnes of material annually, supporting FCC Environment’s objectives in waste transfer logistics. DB Cargo’s involvement includes handling and loading the waste product for onward transport by road, with an estimated five weekly trains running from Neasden Sidings in Wembley to the Stewartby site.

Both companies’ recent initiatives reflect a continued focus on meeting specific logistical demands across industrial sectors, adding both dedicated routes and facilities to support large-scale material movement across the UK.
