Lineas has announced that Frank Berweger has become its new Chief Commercial Officer, effective November 1. In his position, he will lead the Sales, Revenue Management, Intermodal division, and Customer Experience Design team.
Berweger holds a degree in Business Administration. He joined the Lineas management team earlier this year, having previously worked in senior commercial leadership positions in the aviation business, with international postings in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Europe.
“I am thankful that Lineas trusts me with this important mission and excited to be contributing to decarbonizing transport in Europe through Modal Shift from road to rail. The rail freight sector still has many challenges in store. We will master these together, close to our customers and enabled by a very committed team at Lineas,” commented Frank Berweger.
Frank Berweger replaces Lars Redeligx, who has been CCO since January 2020. During his tenure, Redeligx had to deal with the turbulence caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the complicated situation, he contributed to building a strong commercial team and was key in Lineas' profitable revenue growth. Berweger now becomes CEO of Düsseldorf Airport, but will also continue to support Lineas as an advisor to the Board of Directors.
