Rail Cargo Group has expanded its fleet in Poland with the addition of a new Vectron multi-system locomotive, acquired through its partnership with European Locomotive Leasing (ELL). The 6,400 hp locomotive is designed to enhance cross-border operations and contribute to efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in rail freight transport.
This addition is part of an ongoing initiative to improve the efficiency of international rail freight, particularly on routes originating from Gdansk and extending across Europe. By integrating this advanced locomotive into its operations, Rail Cargo Group aims to provide more reliable and environmentally friendly services to its customers.
The Vectron multi-system locomotive is equipped to handle varying national rail systems, offering greater flexibility in cross-border freight movements. It aligns with the industry's focus on sustainable logistics, supporting the transition to greener rail transport solutions. It will be operated by Rail Cargo Carrier - Poland.
