Under the tender conditions, a new company, Intermodal Terminal Padova, will be established and the terminal assets transferred to it.

PSA Intermodal Italy  and Logtainer have won the tender to develop the intermodal terminal at Interporto Padova, following the conclusion of the selection process on 19 December 2025. The consortium submitted a financial offer of EUR 75m, above the tender’s base value of EUR 61m.

The tender was launched by Interporto Padova Spa on 30 May 2025 to select an international strategic partner for the development of its intermodal terminal. According to Interporto Padova, the process attracted consortiums including global logistics and terminal operators.

Interporto Padova Spa will retain a 30% shareholding, with specific statutory rights covering the intermodal use of the site, governance representation and share transfers.

The transaction remains subject to formal approvals and assessments by public shareholders and supervisory authorities. Subject to these approvals, financial close is expected by June 2026.

Interporto Padova stated that the project is intended to support the long-term development of the terminal within European freight corridors serving north-eastern Italy and international trade flows.
