Intermodal flows from Austria change its destination in Germany.

WECO Rail has announced the relocation of its intermodal shuttle service from Neuss to Duisport, strengthening its connection between the Ruhr area and Austria. The service, operated in partnership with parent company WENZEL Logistics, links the German industrial hub with Upper Austria (Wels) and southern Austria (Graz region).

The Duisport Shuttle builds on a two-decade-long operation that previously ran through Neuss. According to the operator, the move is intended to align more closely with evolving customer requirements and operational strategies. The Duisport terminal, located in the core of the Ruhr region, offers access to one of Europe’s most interconnected inland logistics networks.
